Bardstown Bourbon launches second collaboration with The Prisoner Wine Company

The Bourbon Company of Bardstown recently released their second collaboration with The Prisoners Wine Company. The new version is a 10-year-old 100 proof Tennessee bourbon, aged for 18 months in French oak red wine barrels used to age the wine company’s product, The Prisoner Red Blend.

With a mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley, the bourbon contains what the brand describes as aromas of dark fruit, honey, vanilla, and spice. pastry with notes of the mixture of premium grapes, leading to a balanced finish.

Bardstown Bourbon’s collaboration with The Prisoner Wine Company is the latest take on the distillery’s award-winning Collaborative Series, a line of innovative bourbons, finished in barrels from world-renowned distilleries, wineries and brewers. The first collaboration between the brands debuted in December 2019.
