Thornton Park’s Eola Wine company is expanding and opening a new wine bar inside the food hall / grocery store / outdoor garden on S. Orange Avenue, Holden Hub.

Operating as the SODO Wine Company, the people of Eola will be selling their truth serum at a kiosk on the site. No menu has been shared, but the mix of cold cuts, craft beer, wine and small plates from the CEE gives us an idea of what will be on offer.

Food and drink stories

The Hub plans to operate several small bays where start-up restaurateurs can sell their products. The bays are behind garage doors which are rolled up to allow access from the outdoor dining area. Outdoor tables surround the property’s L-shaped main building, with a beer garden tucked away in the hollow. Additionally, the beer garden and one of the smaller dining rooms feature stages for live performances. On the same land in an independent building, the promoters plan to set up a small delicatessen.

The entire project is around the corner from another planned food hall on S. Orange Avenue, the Gatlin Food Hall. This space is a reinvention of the old Fort Gatlin Mall in Edgewood and has been in the works for several years.
