Chufly Imports provides certified sustainable wines with proceeds donated to Rainforest Trust
WARRENTON, Virginia, October 12, 2021– Once again, Rainforest Trust has partnered with Chufly Imports to host a virtual wine tasting to benefit the Rainforest Trust Climate Action Fund. The virtual live event will take place on Thursday, November 4 at 7 p.m. EST. The cost is $ 100 for three bottles and includes three exquisite, sustainably certified wines – two reds, one white – and free shipping. (Note: Chufly ships to all US states except: Ala., Ark., Ariz., Del., Hawaii, Miss., Okla., RI, Utah) due to shipping restrictions.) Six and 12 bottle packs are also available. To register for this event, click here.
The three-bottle ticket includes wines from small wineries selected by a team of in-house sommeliers at Chufly Imports: 1750 Syrah 2018, Bolivia, Samaipata; Aranjuez Tannat 2018, Bolivia, Tarija; and Monte Xanic Chenin Blanc | Colombard 2020, Mexico, Guadalupe Valley. These wines come from emerging wine regions with a strong conservation and sustainable development impact. The ticket also includes shipping to the recipient’s home, a professionally guided wine tasting, a $ 50 contribution to the Rainforest Trust Climate Action Fund, and an update on important Rainforest Trust conservation successes in 2021. Think to double the six or 12 bottle pack ($ 100) or quadruple ($ 200) the contribution to Rainforest Trust. The larger packs are perfect for hosting a viewing party to share Rainforest Trust’s important work (and great wines!) With your friends and family.
Tickets must be purchased no later than October 25 to ensure wines arrive in time for the November 4 event. All recipients must be 21 years of age or older and must be home to accept the shipment. Tracking information will be sent for orders as processed and orders are usually delivered within 7 business days of being processed.
Since 1988, the Rainforest Trust has protected tropical habitats at risk and saved endangered species by establishing protected areas in partnership with local organizations and communities around the world. Together with its partners, the Rainforest Trust has saved more than 37 million acres of vital habitat. The Rainforest Trust Climate Action Fund supports projects that protect forests that store and sequester large amounts of carbon profitably.
“Last year, nearly an acre of rainforest was lost every second, which equates to an area the size of Pennsylvania that simply went up in smoke. Biodiversity is lost and the carbon once stored is now contributing to climate change, ”said Stephanie Wester, Conservation Programs Manager at Rainforest Trust. “The creation and maintenance of protected areas is the simplest and most cost-effective solution to reducing climate change. Rainforest Trust has been doing just that for almost 34 years.
Rainforest Trust estimates that by 2020 the world lost more than 30.1 million acres of rainforest, and widespread destruction of forests released 2.64 gigatons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. This amount is more than double of all annual vehicle emissions in the United States.
