From September 15-18, the South’s top chefs will descend on Atlanta for a four-day culinary extravaganza like no other. Returning for its 11th year, there are a variety of exciting new events in store to satisfy every palate. You do not know where to start ? SLICED: A slice of Atlanta’s best bites – Thursday September 15
To kick off the festival weekend, don’t miss SLICED, a cup of Atlanta’s finest bites served by the slice on Thursday, September 15, from 7-10 p.m. Treat yourself to an assortment of slices created by some of the city’s most popular local chefs that will tantalize your taste buds. Wood-fired pizzas, quiche, chicken pot pie, truffles, sashimi, brisket, desserts and everything else, there’s something to satisfy every palate!
CLUCK’D: A CHICKEN & COCKTAIL EVENING – Friday, September 16
Then, Cluck’d: a chicken and cocktail party on Friday, September 16, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Get ready to savor a wide variety of the South’s finest birds paired with signature Southern cocktails in this decadent affair. Whether served roasted, breaded, baked, barbecued, braised or fried, you can enjoy classic recipes and unique twists on everyone’s favorite bird from nearly 20 chefs. Participating talents, including Nick Leahy of The Usual, Che Butter Jonez Malik Rhasaan, Stephie Bender of Seoul Chikin and Kartisha Henry of Wing Suite, will compete for the best dish of the evening.
In addition to the larger tasting events, attendees can also delve into intimate multi-course dinners led by some of the top chefs. From James Beard winners and nominees to up-and-coming talent changing today’s culinary landscape, these chef-led events held across Atlanta are definitely not to be missed. New to this year’s menu include A Night at The Americano with celebrity chef Scott Conant and a surprise guest chef, Talat Market’s collaboration with Food & Wine 2021, Straight From the Source: A Veggie Forward Evening at Redbird with Chef Zen Stevenson, and American Cuisine with A Spanish Len with Chefs Josue Peña, Liron Eisenberg and Jon Sinecki at Iberian Pig: Buckhead.
