Lake County Music Guide 12.30.21 – The Bloom

Well folks, we are at the end of 2021 and the excitement is overwhelming as we head to our favorite day of the year – National Bacon Day! Imagine all the recipes Bubba would have mentioned to Forrest if he was a bacon producer. I believe the shrimp would have lived up to its name in comparison. But not to mention the next day – New Years Eve – would surely be an unnecessary omission. And because this week’s live music schedule is also quite complex (although there will be live music each for the next 7 days!), I’m going to list all of the NYE celebrations in Lake and County counties. Mike Guarniero

Mike has been playing professionally, both acoustically and electric, for over 40 years. He paid his dues into a strong Sonoma County music scene in the 1980s and 1990s, then was a DJ for 10 years after moving to Lake County in 1996. After retiring from his 26-year job , because he recognized a growing local music scene, he decided to devote his time to playing live music again. He never looked back. With his usual band, Dr. Groove, he played lead guitar for local bands (Fargo Bros, Blues Farm, CAM Band, Borrowed Time, Time Travelers). He has played acoustic guitar in some of our local wineries, restaurants, farmers markets, and art galleries. He is also a semi-regular who supports various local Open Mics in Lake County. He writes and records original songs and has also recorded original demos for other artists. For the past three years, he’s published a local music guide on Facebook called the Lake County Music Guide.
