Mike Guarniero

Mike has been playing professionally, both acoustically and electric, for over 40 years. He paid his dues into a strong Sonoma County music scene in the ’80s and’ 90s, then was a DJ for 10 years after moving to Lake County in 1996. After retiring from his 26-year job , because he recognized a growing local music scene, he decided to devote his time to playing live music again. He never looked back. With his usual band, Dr. Groove, he has played lead guitar for local bands (Fargo Bros, Blues Farm, CAM Band, Borrowed Time, Time Travelers). He has played acoustic guitar in some of our local wineries, restaurants, farmers markets and art galleries. He is also a semi-regular who supports various local Open Mics in Lake County. He writes and records original songs and has also recorded original demos for other artists. For the past three years, he’s published a local music guide on Facebook called the Lake County Music Guide.
