Lake County Music Guide 2.10.22 – The Bloom

This could turn out to be the perfect weekend; Kegger mayhem during Superbowl Sunday, then hug and kiss Monday with a Valentine’s Day surprise while enjoying the President’s Day holiday. Here’s the live music guide for the week of 2/10-2/14…

Enjoy a great meal, libations from a full bar and entertaining music from Tom Drinnen Thursday night at The Saw Shop Public House in Kelseyville. Reservations are always recommended. On Monday, Tony Neves will sing for a special Valentine’s Day dinner from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Rivino Winery in Ukiah will host a Valentine’s Day dinner on Friday from 4:30-7:00 p.m. with music by Ed Reinhart and Paula Samonte. The cost is $125/person. Please call for more information and/or to make reservations.

The Smiling Dogs Tasting Room in Kelseyville will feature music from the Dusty Green Bones Band on Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Excellent wines will be sold by the bottle or by the glass.

The Majide Trio will play Show Tunes, Torch Ballads and Blues Classics at O’Meara Bros Brewing in Lakeport on Saturday from 6-9 a.m. Many excellent O’Bros beers and craft beers will be on tap to accompany a wonderful selection on their menu.

On Saturday nights, the Riviera Hills Lounge at the Riviera wants you all to come shake your butt to the fun, exciting and uplifting Blues music performed by Dave Broida and Blues Farm. 9 out of 10 doctors recommend DB & BF for your daily blues needs – better than an apple a day… Music is 6-10am, people…

Twin Pine Casino in Middletown will present Friday and Saturday nights from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Jon Jimmerson and the Redneck Revival. The name pretty much sums it all up, folks…

The Robinson Rancheria Casino in Nice will feature Friday Jason Weeks from 5-9 p.m.

On Sunday nights at Cook It Up Pizza in Kelseyville, (located between the Umpqua Band and Mary Oom’s Transformations yoga studio on State St), come enjoy pizza and other goodies while Purely Medicinal plays Bluegrass and music. other folk music from 6:00.

The Blue Wing Saloon at Upper Lake will feature the Majide Trio on Friday nights from 6-8 p.m. Sunday brunch comes for the food, but stays for the “famous musician”, Paul Kemp from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday evening, the charming Hillarie Wilt will perform for your dinner from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A special Valentine’s Monday Blues night will be performed by The Hip Replacements from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reservations are strongly suggested for all shows.

Ukiah Brewing will feature music by Steve Woozie Smith on Tuesday starting at 6:30 a.m. On Friday, Hilary and Christiane will perform from 6:30 p.m. On Saturdays from 10 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., check out the “For The Love Showcase” featuring Bengy D, Fire the Heartist, Gue$t Li$t and more. $5 cover. Sunday noon, it’s the turn of the Queen of Boogie Woogie, Wendy DeWitt to rock the joint! Don’t miss it. Sunday night at 5:00 p.m., the Jazz Dudes will do what jazzmen do. Come see for yourself…

On Saturdays from 8:00am to 11:55am, the Ukiah Pub will host a Valentine’s Day party featuring the music of Waylon and the Wildcats. No cover. Get out your tan butter, tank tops and shorts – the days will be hot for the next few weeks (but the nights cold…). Add to that Super Bowl Sunday, Valentine’s Day and a three-day weekend. Woohoo! Let’s have fun, but keep in mind that many shops, restaurants and live music venues still ask you to mask up and maintain social distancing. This thing is not over yet! So if and when you go out this week, have fun – but be careful…

Mike Garniero

Mike has been playing professionally, both acoustic and electric, for over 40 years. He paid his dues into a strong Sonoma County music scene in the 80s and 90s, then DJed for 10 years after moving to Lake County in 1996. After retiring from his 26-year job , because he recognized a growing local music. stage, he decided to dedicate his time to performing live music again. He never looked back. With his regular band, Dr. Groove, he played lead guitar for local bands (Fargo Bros, Blues Farm, CAM Band, Borrowed Time, Time Travellers). He has played acoustic guitar at some of our local wineries, restaurants, farmers markets and art galleries. He is also a semi-regular supporting various local open mics around Lake County. He writes and records original songs and has also recorded original demos for other performers. For the past three years, he has posted a local music guide on Facebook called Lake County Music Guide.
