MBA Wine Tasting will take place outdoors on Friday evening

MARGATE – 19 from Margate Business AssociationE The annual wine tasting will be held Friday, July 29 from 6-9 p.m. outside the Edgmar Circle Recreation Complex.

The event includes an evening of wine and spirits tastings, silent and live auctions, appetizers and treats. Pop rock cover band Usual Suspects will provide entertainment. Culinary offerings include palate-pleasing dishes from Bocca, Dino’s Subs and Pizza, The Little Sicilian and TacocaT, with treats provided by Jagielky’s Homemade Candy.

Over 430 guests attended last year’s event and the outdoor setting was so popular that the event committee decided to hold it again. In addition to beautiful sampling and auction items, guests enjoyed recreational games of cornhole, ping pong, chess, and checkers.

This year’s auction will include Phillies baseball tickets, a surfboard donated by Heritage Surf and Sport, Downbeach Express deck cards, gift baskets, an exercise bike donated by AAAA Bike Shop, two lets -Spend three days for Tidal Wave Music Festival, an Atlantic City Concert Beach featuring over 30 artists, including Luke Bryan and Morgan Wallen, with transportation courtesy of Hindelang Car Service and more. The live auction is hosted by local celebrity Lou Solomon and Diane Mitchell of the “Mike & Diane Morning Show” on 95.1 WAYV. The Wine Tasting Committee is co-chaired by Paula Hartman and Dana Hartman-Hiltner.

Auction items are donated by businesses and individuals from across the community. Customers wishing to view all auction items and bid in advance can visit MBAWINE.

A portion of the proceeds benefits the Margate Business Association’s Daniel and Maria Walters Scholarship Program. Since its inception, the program has awarded more than $120,000 in scholarships to students who have attended schools in Margate City. The event also supports the MBA’S Children Fund, which anonymously provides warm clothes, school supplies, food, glasses, a summer camp for children with keys, toys and more for children in the schools of Margate.
