Miller Family Wine Company appoints Jonathan Nagy winemaker | Wine
Miller Family Wine Company has appointed industry veteran and Santa Maria native Jonathan Nagy as the winemaker.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Jonathan join us as a winemaker,” said vice president of operations Marshall Miller. “He’s an accomplished winemaker with an inherent understanding of Central Coast winemaking that sets him apart.”
Nagy brings to the position a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis, and over 20 years of industry experience, having worked two harvests with Robert Mondavi Winery in Napa Valley, three years as head of laboratory / oenologist for Cambria Winery and 16 years as winemaker for Byron.
In addition to winemaking and viticulture, Nagy’s experience includes budget planning, compliance, sales and marketing, as well as leadership at all levels of winemaking operations.

Following the postponement of the 14th Annual Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon due to social distancing restrictions caused by the COVID-19 crisis, event spokesperson Dan Cruz recently announced that a new date had been fixed.
“It was to be a relaxed project growing pinot noir and chardonnay as well as a variety of vegetables and fruits, including a grove of olive trees.”
