Jeff Proch, president of the University Wine Company, stood outside his new location at 540 Misty Hill Drive in State College and was surrounded by his parents, Natalie and Gene “Jinx” Proch, as he cut the ribbon to celebrate their new location. November 7.

According to a press release from the Center County Chamber of Business and Industry, during the smooth opening of the new location, customers took advantage of the beautiful weather as well as locally grown, processed and bottled wine. from a variety of grapes.

“We are excited about our new Misty Hill dive site as it is the culmination of nearly a decade of work. Since the opening of our company in 2011, this has been the objective and it is fascinating to see it come to fruition. We originally started the business with our unique U-FREEZE Wine Slush, wine packaged in a resealable bag suitable for freezing to make a fun treat for adults, ”said Proch.

Since then, University Wine has branched out into a full line of bottled wines. They opened a wine bar at the Greek Restaurant at State College as well as a wine bar at the Brew Coffee and Tap in Tyrone.

“In our new location, we invite you to let us transport you from the chaos of the real world to our beautiful tasting room and picturesque vineyard, ideally located at the foot of Tussey Mountain between Boalsburg and Shingletown, while providing serene surroundings. and a joyful experience where we create memories, one bottle at a time, ”said Proch.

“We believe that what’s going on around the bottle, the friends, the family, the food, the conversation, is just as important as what’s in it, so we strive to make that experience easier to our clients.”

The wine estate is open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
