Since its service was made virtual during Covid-19, Waitrose has now relaunched its popular ‘in-person’ at-home wine tasting experience.

The experience, which costs £35 per person, allows customers and their guests to experience the fundamentals of wine tasting from their own home.

Six bottles are delivered prior to the tasting for tasting during the session and the service also includes an expert Waitrose partner who is on hand to guide guests through each wine and the relevant wine pairings.

Waitrose will also host a comprehensive Q&A session at the end of the experience and to meet demand they have trained nearly 50 Waitrose Partners supporting them with their Level 2 Wine Spirit Education Trust qualifications.

Waitrose’s Director of Drinks Experiences, Andrew Riding, said: ‘We know how much our customers have enjoyed our drinks experiences, from gin and cocktails to wine tasting, which is why it was important to us to be able to pursue them virtually for the past two years.

“But now in-person tastings are back and we’re excited to bring those experiences to people in their homes. It’s also a great way to reconnect teams to work when we return to the office once again. »
