William Chris Wine Company Announces Brand Expansion Plan for Lost Draw Cellars in Johnson City


New cellar and tasting room for the flagship brand which will open in September 2023

HYE, TX (July 19, 2022) – William Chris Wine Company (WCWC) this week announced plans to expand one of the portfolio’s flagship brands, Lost Draw Cellars, with a new 9,260 square foot cellar and tasting room at Johnson City. The new winery has already had its first groundbreaking with construction expected to begin this fall, and a completion and opening date tentatively set for September 2023.

“We are thrilled to be able to grow and expand the Lost Draw Cellars brand and bring our story and our wines to more people,” said Andrew Sides, Founder of Lost Draw Cellars and Co-Founder and COO of William Chris Wine Company. “Our property in Fredericksburg has been and will remain a big part of the overall guest experience, but the new space in Johnson City allows us to appeal to a new audience geographically and thereby create new fans of Texas-grown wine. Expansion has always been part of Lost Draw Cellars’ long-term vision, and our team couldn’t be more excited to see this come to life in the greater Johnson City community.

The property, located at 1686 U.S. Highway 290, is already home to seven acres of vineyards planted by William Chris Wine Co. in 2020. Designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, the new estate will include a public tasting room, a tasting room for club members, covered porch, retail store, barrel storage, offices, kitchen, and an outdoor bar.
