Here’s an airline that wine lovers will want to toast.
Invivo, the New Zealand wine company backed by celebrities Sarah Jessica Parker and graham nortonis launching an airline this year.
Invivo Air, which promises to be “like other airlines but with better wine”, will operate a fixed flight from Auckland to Queenstown.

“Welcome to Invivo Air, where it’s business class in every glass,” reads the airline’s motto.
Passengers will board a chartered, Swedish-built, 34-seat Saab aircraft in Auckland for the airline’s maiden flight in early 2022.
Priority for seats on the maiden voyage will be given to Auckland hospitality and tourism staff who have been affected by the lockdown and members of the public who have not seen family or friends due to the restrictions New Zealand’s Covid, as well as to shareholders.
The flight itself will only last two hours, but passengers can expect 24 hours of “special experiences” in Queenstown.

A stay at the Hilton Queenstown and a trip to Invivo winemakers in Central Otago will be part of the wine itinerary.
Invivo was founded by Tim Lightbourne and Rob Cameron in 2008 and has since become “one of New Zealand’s leading producers”.
Ahead of the new airline’s launch, Tim said: ‘It has been a difficult time, particularly for our bar and restaurant customers in the north and south of the island who are heavily reliant on local tourism. Organizing a flight to the South Island is a way to show the public that the country is once again open to domestic tourism, and at the same time to support some of those who have gone through a particularly difficult time.
“We are also not ruling out other flights to other New Zealand destinations.”
He added in an interview with CNN that Parker and Norton might appear on one of the flights at some point.

The brand’s collaboration with norton chat host began in 2014, when she worked with him to produce a Sauvignon Blanc.
Its Invivo wine collection has since expanded to include South Australian Shiraz, New Zealand Rosé, Italian Prosecco and Prosecco Rosé. Additionally, it has received over 200 accolades and is served in Qantas business class cabins.
He also makes two types of gin with Invivo.
In 2019, Invivo teamed up with Sex and the City star Parker to launch ‘Invivo X’ sauvignon blanc and rose, which has now won over 50 awards.
Parker is a board member of Invivo USA, and the “X” on the wine label represents his Instagram signature, “X, SJ.” The “X” in the tag was hand painted by Parker.

After unveiling her third vintage of Sauvignon Blanc with the brand last September, the actress told Dailymail.com: “We always like to try new things, but with this vintage we decided to mix several samples into one. and we ended up with a creation that’s incredibly unique, but still a sauvignon blanc at heart.
Parker added, “I’ve been proud of all of our creations, but the ratings for this one are spectacular. I am proud of our Invivo family and delighted to bring this vintage to life and share it with our fans.
Both celebrities are involved in wine blending, which is the final stage of the winemaking process that sees winemakers combine different wines from different estates to create an ultimate blend that brings out the best characteristics of the grape.
