Wine tasting at The Social Oaks for the benefit of Orphan Fund!

Who knew you could help change lives by doing something as classy as wine tasting!

The Social Oaks, a new wine cellar at Litchi Orchard in Salt Rock, has partnered with the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund to host the Wine Tasting Odyssey event, a fundraiser to help poor students succeed in higher education.

With a range of wine stations that will feature red, white and rosé wines from 4 regions of South Africa, the event is part of the Orphan Fund scholarship and scholarship fundraising campaign.

“These scholarships and scholarships go to the most disadvantaged graduates who also show excellent results.

We hope to change circumstances one child at a time with these bursaries and bursaries, ”said Orphan Fund coordinator Mpume Vilakazi.

“The Social Oaks, run by Chris and Cara McDaniel, is a brand new addition to Litchi Orchard and is a must-see place where you can also buy wine,” she said.

Six students will benefit from the scholarships, which provide a stipend with which they can purchase essentials like food and toiletries.

Sponsors include CMH Toyota Ballito, which sponsored R5,000.

The wine tasting event will take place on Friday November 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., priced at R250 per person, or R200 per person for bookings of 4 or more people.

Light snacks will be served and there will be live entertainment.

To book, contact Mpume on 032 946 0276 or send him an email at [email protected].
