Wine tasting at The Social Oaks raised over R12,000 for orphans fund
Last Friday, a delicious evening of cheese and wine tasting raised over R12,000 for the scholarships and scholarship fundraising campaign of the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund.

The wine tasting took place in collaboration with The Social Oaks, the new wine cellar of The Litchi Orchard in Salt Rock.
Over 50 guests tasted a variety of reds, whites and rosés from 4 regions of South Africa.

Orphans Fund coordinator Mpume Vilakazi especially thanked Chris and Cara McDaniel of The Social Oaks for opening their doors to the Orphans Fund, and Bidvest McCarthy Toyota Ballito for generously donating R5,000 for children. scholarships and scholarship fundraising campaign.

Thanks to the money raised, 6 students will benefit from scholarships which allow the purchase of essential items, food and toiletries.

The scholarships go to underprivileged registrants who show excellent results.
