Wine tasting to help fund the school

Achieve Plant City School Holds Annual Fundraiser to Keep Classes Going

Achieve Plant City will once again host its annual wine tasting and silent auction fundraiser on Friday, February 18, 2022.

The event will be from 6-8:30 p.m. and will be held at Hillsborough Community College – Trinkle Center, 1206 N. Park Rd., Plant City.

Proceeds raised will help Achieve Plant City provide the equipment and learning materials needed to further its education mission. The school helps teach fundamental skills such as learning English and reading. It is a service for underprivileged families which welcomes adults and their children as students.

Angelica Ibarra is the founder of Achieve and has seen stories of success as her students got an education and continued to thrive.

“We prepare young children to succeed in school through our early childhood and after-school enrichment programs,” Ibarra said. “We offer adult literacy and parenting workshops so parents are better prepared to support their children’s education and development. We believe that by helping children and families develop a strong educational foundation, the places they can go will be limitless.

Last year was a turbulent time for Achieve as it moved to its new location at the Wesley Center and celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Wine lovers are welcome to offer their support to help the school continue its momentum. Individual tickets are $75.

The $300 donation for Achieve supporters will provide a high table at the event for up to four guests.

The $600 gift for book lovers will come with a table and accepts up to eight guests.

The author’s $1,000 donation will not only provide a table for up to eight guests, but also the opportunity for a company to display its logo on event materials.

The poet donation of $2,500 will come with a table for up to eight guests, allow companies to promote themselves with logos on event materials, as well as presenter recognition and two bottles of wine.

And the Fellow’s $5,000 donation will provide two tables for up to 16 guests and companies can have their logos advertised on event materials.
